Of Note Rehearsals Resume

Concordia has been truly blessed with so many dedicated people of faith. Over the last seven years the senior choir has grown from a handful of singers to now 13 strong, and the 'orchestra' includes 2 flutes, 2 clarinets, 1 viola, 1 guitar, and 1 timpanist with an occasional tuba or trumpet. Feedback has been wonderful! Hardly a Sunday goes by when someone does not make a comment about the music. Believe it or not, that is really helpful to us making that "Joyful Noise" during worship. But also, and just as important, those of us who take our place in the front hear lots of singing from you in the congregation. That is what it is all about... singing to the Lord, and singing with and to each other in the community of faith. — Linda Wiskow DeGuzman, Minister of Music |
| We welcome choir members. The choir is an important part of the worship leadership of the church, teaching new hymns, leading congregational singing, offering praise and thanks through the gift of music. The choir rehearses on Sunday mornings at 9:00 AM. | ![]() |
| The Children's Choir includes children ages 3 to 14. They learn new songs of faith to sing at the worship services. They combine songs with dance and rhythm instruments. A new "orchestra" is being formed with those children who play musical instruments. Rehearsals for the Children's Choir are at the beginning of Sunday School at 11:00 AM. | ![]() |
The offerings of voice and hymns are enriched when offered with the accompaniment of instruments. The psalms were sung by Israel to the sound of harp, flute, lyre and drum. If you play an instrument, your talent is welcomed. You don't need to be a member to participate. The Ensemble meets on a regular basis the second Sunday of each month. Check the calendar link on the Home Page for specific dates.
