Holy Baptism

Baptism begins our life in faith through communion with God and with God's people. This requires participation in a life-long commitment that includes the study of God's Word, worship, contributions of resources and time, works of charity and service and communion with other Christians in this church.

Those seeking baptism for themselves or for their child are invited to enter into our baptismal instruction classes. Classes are five weeks long, and are scheduled with the pastor when candidates are ready. Parents of children to be baptized are expected to make a commitment to membership into the church, and to practice their faith as a living example to their children.

Holy Communion

The sacrament of Holy Communion is offered to all baptized Christians. We do not place restrictions on communicants according to their denominational background or age. We encourage parents to bring infants and young children to communion. Everyone baptized into Christ is welcome to the table of the Lord. If you have concerns about participating in Holy Communion, please speak with the Pastor.

Communion is offered in both the bread and the cup, the visible body and blood of our Lord Jesus Christ. For those who prefer the use of small communion glasses, they are available in the first pew, or from the ushers.
