Youth Ministry Team
Members: Mark (coordinator), Kathy, Leanne, Linda, Denise, Phil and Lupe.
The Objectives of the Youth Ministry team are to:
* Involve Concordia’s Youth in the church community and outreach ministries.
* Foster social connections—youth get to know each other.
* Involve Youth in service projects; foster the value of helping others.
* Engage with youths in neighboring churches through events or projects.
To accomplish these objectives we will host a monthly Youth event or activity for church youth ages 11-16 and their friends. We will involve parents in rotating “planning teams” for activities and plan a variety of activities: intergenerational, service within church and service in the larger community, social “fun” gatherings, and larger youth events.
The pictures below show the kids involved in the following activities:
Magic Carpet: All team members stand on a carpet and then have to turn the carpet over without stepping off the carpet.
Gridlock: Teams tried to determine the “correct path” to spell a “passage,” following a grid network of footprints.
Move It or Lose It: Teams walk on cutout footprints holding stacked shoe boxes. They must then pass the shoe boxes to the next teammate without dropping any. If any shoe boxes are dropped, they must start over.
If you would like to get involved, please speak with Mark about the Youth Ministry Team.
